‍Our region is home to more than 50 transportation equipment & aerospace manufacturers who employ thousands of North Country residents!

While our economy is remarkably diverse, Plattsburgh has become a major center for the production of 21st century transportation transportation equipment and aerospace components.

To support this cluster of transportation equipment and aerospace manufacturers, The North American Center of Excellence for Transportation Equipment (NAmTrans), a strategic subsidiary of the North Country Chamber of Commerce, was formed in 2015. NAmTrans is based in Plattsburgh and is dedicated to:

• Serving the large and diverse cluster of over 50 Transportation Equipment and Aerospace manufacturers in the seven county North Country Region of New York State.
